Committees

In accordance with Article 14 of the Organic Law, the University Council in order to better exercise its functions, bears the following commissions:

 

 Finance and Budgets Committee

  1. To present draft opinions on the taxation plan and the annual expenditure budget submitted by the Rector.
  2. To propose to the Council the rates of duty for the services provided by the University.

Labor Relations Committee

  1. To know, examine, and present draft opinions on wage increases, revision of the Collective Agreement, and strike summons.
  2. Others approved by the University Council, not reserved to other authority according to this Law.

Technical Pedagogical Committee

  1. To know, examine, and present draft opinions on syllabuses and study programs; creation of new careers; and amendments to the corresponding structures.
  2. To establish the evaluation mechanisms of academic assessment in the teaching‐learning process.

Honor and Justice Committee

  1. To know, examine, and present draft opinions on honorable recognition.
  2. To propose to the Rector or the University Council, when appropriate, the application of sanctions to the students and teachers for misconduct out of the University facilities; or when committed within the facilities, because of its seriousness, these shall deserve stronger sanctions than the established in the respective regulations.

Regulations Committee

  1. To know, examine, and present draft opinions for every initiative of regulations proposed by the other committees of the Council, by the Rector, or by any other department of the University that requires the approval of the University Council for validity.

University Assets Committee

  1. To know the origin, use, and destination of movable or immovable property that is part of the University Assets.
  2. To know, examine, and present draft opinions on guidelines that allow the preservation, monitoring, and increase of University Assets.
  3. Others agreed by the University Council.

University Committee for the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the University of Colima

  1. It is the entity responsible for preparing, coordinating, promoting, and executing events, actions, expressions, commemorations, activity schedules, and projects related to the Celebration of the 75th Anniversary of our Institution.

University Assets Committee

  1. To know, examine, and present draft opinions on the Annual Report of the Rector.
